How to Create a Category

Prerequisites

In order to update the space settings, you must have the permission of “Space Admin” on your user record.

Steps

  1. Go to/Open the Admin Console for your kinops Space.

  2. Select “Management” from the Admin Console.

  3. Select the to configure kapp you wish to create a Category for by clicking on the cog for that kapp name.

  4. Click the Categories header for that Kapp.ServicesConfigSelectCat
  5. Click the +Add Category button.

  6. Enter the desired Category Display name. Note that the category slug will auto fill. NewCategoryArrow
    Click Save.

  7. The new category will appear in the category display.

    If you wish to re-order it or make it a subcategory, click and drag it to the desired location.

Note: Categories don’t show up in “Browse Categories” until they have Services in them. To get your new category to show up, assign Services to your category.
